Enter your name and email address into the spaces below and click “submit” to get the full sheet music. You will then be the first to receive The Sounds final version of Better Off Dead when the contest ends on Friday January 29th.

Step #2

Create your own version of "Better Off Dead":
Once you have the sheet music the canvas is yours! Perform and record your own version of "Better Off Dead" in your own style. Be as creative as possible and make it sound any way you want. Rock it out, drop some hip hop beats, give it your best country twang, add your own breaks and dance to it, sit down at a piano or pick up an acoustic, have your band cover it, or have your favorite local band cover it! It doesn’t matter the quality of the recording, just make it your own! The contest ends on January 29th at 5pm(EST), so hurry and upload your version. The longer it is up, the more votes you have a chance to get!!

Step #3

Upload and Promote your VIDEO version of "Better Off Dead":
After you have create your own version of "Better Off Dead" upload it to YouTube, Vimeo or any other video hosting service . Once the song is uploaded let all your friends know about your version of "Better Off Dead" using your Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or any other social media site.

If you are creating a MP3 version here is how it works:
After you have create your own version of "Better Off Dead" come back to this page and upload an MP3 of your version of the track. Once the song is uploaded (the upload process can take 5 minutes, so be patient) this web site will create you a embeddable widget for you to post on your blog, YouTube, SoundCloud, facebook, twitter, myspace. Let all your friends know about your version of "Better Off Dead".

and listen to everyone’s versions that have been done! On this page you can watch videos, listen to your favorite versions, and vote (even if you didn’t enter) for your favorites in one of 4 categories (Most Like The Sounds, Most Unique, Best Version Of The Song, Best Video). The winner of each category, and the song with the most plays, will get a prize pack from The Sounds.

AND on 1/31/11 The Sounds will be picking their favorite version of "Better Off Dead" which will be featured as the B-Side on their forth coming 7"!!!
WHEN THE CONTEST ENDS, EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED WILL GET A FREE MP3 OF THE SOUNDS REAL VERSION OF BETTER OFF DEAD 4 DAYS BEFORE IT IS RELEASED!!!
