“Get up! Your voices are needed!” Justin Sane shouts on Anti Flag’s new studio album, The General Strike, which is due out on March 20th, 2012 on Side One Dummy Records.

The 13 tracks that comprise the bands 8th studio album are arguably their most aggressive to date. With influences ranging from hardcore to modern folk punk, The General Strike is reckless yet tight, experimental yet familiar, and as impassioned and enraged as the bands feels.

The General Strike was recorded and produced by Anti-Flag at their home studio and is poised to be the soundtrack for the masses of begrudged private citizens that are currently protesting corporate injustice and governmental power around the world.

A song from the band’s album, titled “The Neoliberal Anthem”, is currently streaming on the Anti-Flag Facebook page.

The band has also announced a pre-order for The General Strike which can be found in the SideOneDummy Records online store or at Interpunk .

Anti-Flag has also announced their first run of tour dates in support of The General Strike.

The members of Anti-Flag are well-known for  their outspoken political views, especially on corporatism and sociopolitical issues… so it’s no surprise that, while in NYC this past weekend for a stop on their tour with NOFX, the band did an impromptu performance in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Check out new songs from Legendary punk rock band Anti-Flag “Complete Control Sessions.” The Complete Control Sessions are  similar to the Peel Sessions of early punk, where mainstays from the scene stop by Swing House studios in Hollywood to do interesting live versions some classic songs, covers and new fan favorites for Joe Sib’s nationally syndicated Complete Control Radio show.

SideOneDummy owner and Complete Control Radio host, JoeSib has once again rounded up the troops and to put together the 3rd edition of THE COMPLETE CONTROL SESSIONS. For the latest release in the series Joe tapped legendary punk band ANTI-FLAG to turn up the faders and perform ripping live versions of fan favorites.

After a killer set at the Wheels For Humanity’s charity event Rock To Roll in Los Angeles last December the band stopped by Swing House Studios and ripped out a live set of 4 songs, including a cover of The Clash’s cover of “Should I Stay or Should I Go” for the session.

Sib and company were there to capture the intensity that Anti-Flag are know for live and hang out with the band. Joe also gets a chance to interview the bands for his show, which is a two hour specialty show that plays punk rock music from all eras. The show is syndicated in 10 markets including 98.7 FM in Los Angeles.

Anti-Flag’s Complete Control Sessions will be released via SideOneDummy Records on September 27th, 2011 and will be available on a limited pressing of vinyl and digitally. The vinyl will be available exclusively through Interpunk (include link from Interpunk) This album will also come with come with 3 unreleased Clash Covers that Anit-Flag recorded in their own studio.

Anti-Flag will be supporting NOFX this fall on the east coast and midwest.
